Training for Success with a Puppy
So- after hours, weeks, months of studying pedigrees, talking with breeders, finding the perfect one, big goals in mind, or maybe just simply wanting to raise a great companion- now you have a puppy. There will be a second follow up to helping an older pup or adult after adopting, but for now this is about helping to train a puppy for show.
2009 Performance Event Calendar
I've updated the Event Calendar page with the current 2009 ASFA, AKC Lure Coursing, LGRA Racing, NOTRA Racing, and NLCC (the new National Lure Coursing Club) schedules. This year, you can not only view events by your geographic region (USA only, sorry), but when you bring up an event you can "add to my calendar" to put that event on your local Outlook or iCal calendar. I still recommend double-checking locally with the race secretary as the event gets closer, in case there are changes that didn't make the national schedules.
Many thanks to the various club secretaries for providing this info and keeping borzoi.org up to date with changes.

If you're looking for a book that will tell you everything about how your new Borzoi will act around the house and in town, Forever Borzoi is that book. From a pup's antics, to the athletics of youth, to the strength of an older Borzoi, this is the book that tells it straight from dozens of Borzoi owners. Many color pages of photos are included in this wonderful hardback book.
See Being Borzoi for ordering info.
